Biography

Andrzej Tadeusz Zielinski was born in 1940 at Radom, Poland. In 1965, he completed his diploma of physician at Akademia Medyczna (Medical School), Warsaw, in 1968, he served as a doctor of medical sciences at Academia Medyczna (Medical School), Warsaw. Later in 1977, he was at Medical Examination of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG No: 280-257-7). While in 1982 he received his first degree specialty in internal diseases and achieved his second degree specialty in internal diseases in the year 1986, later in 1999 he was certified for Master of Science in Epidemiology at State University of New York, School of Public Health, and Albany, NY, U.S.A. Dr. Andrzej Tadeusz Zielinski started his employment in 1965-1979 in Department of Physiology at Akademia Medyczna (Medical School), Warsaw. Later in 1973-1974 and 1979-1980 he worked as an assistant professor (visiting) in Department of Pharmacology at Michigan State University, and East Lansing, Michigan, USA. From 1981-1986, he served as an Attending physician and director of outpatient clinic in Pruszków, Poland. In between the years 1986-990 he was an attending physician at Clinic of Internal Medicine in First Clinical Hospital at Medical Academy in Warsaw. He continued his passion as attending physician at Spellman Center for HIV Related Diseases in between 1991-1993 at St. Clare’s Hospital, New York, N.Y., U.S.A. He was later appointed as a clinical v-director, AIDS Diagnosis and Therapy Center, Warsaw in the years 1993 and 1996. Since 1999 he continued his Employment in National Institute of Public Health, National Institute of Hygiene, Warsaw in Poland. Later from 2003-2010 he worked as a Professor and Head of the Department of Epidemiology and since 2010 he is known to be the Professor Emeritus in the Department of Epidemiology. He also worked as National Consultant of Epidemiology from 2002- 2013, He is also an Editor-in-Chief of “Przegląd Epidemiologiczny” (Polish Epidemiological Review) from since 2000. He is yet now from 2005-2013 is also known to be the Member of Advisory Forum of ECDC. Dr. Andrzej Tadeusz Zielinski Memberships of scientific societies include: Warsaw Learned Society, Polish Epidemiological Association, and Polish Scientific Society of AIDS. Polish Society of Epidemiologists and Infectiologists.
